Gil White has finally created the perfect solution to maintaining, care, and strengthening the shoulder for tennis players.

Many of you might be surprised to learn that even top professionals warm up incorrectly sometimes by starting to hit balls as their warm up. This is truly a disaster waiting to happen and many of these same players have suffered years later with extensive shoulder issues.

What is the correct way to warm up? I believe the following:

Do light exercise to get all your muscles warmed up. This would include jogging, pushups, light weights, and jump rope. Then start to do some shadow swings without weight on the racquet first.

Now, add Gil's plates and begin to swing faster and faster until you can feel a light sweat starting. Now you are ready to begin hitting in the short court (service boxes) and move back to the baseline.
